Raised in a remote tribal community in Brazil, his childhood was shaped by nature, simplicity, and a way of life where survival depended on cooperation rather than currency. Outside brief visits with his birth family during summer holidays, the concept of money was largely absent from his world.
His first encounter with modern economic reality was abrupt. Thirsty in a city store, he took a bottle of water without understanding that access to basic necessities required payment. The experience sparked a life-defining question: What is money — and why does it control human freedom?

That pursuit would reshape his future.
Over the following years, Boef transitioned from survival mode to entrepreneurship, building and operating businesses across multiple countries while maintaining a relentless focus on macroeconomic trends and monetary systems. This search for alternatives to traditional finance led him to discover Bitcoin and blockchain technology in 2015.
What he saw was not merely a speculative asset class, but a paradigm shift.
Fascinated by the principles of decentralization, self-custody, and permissionless finance, Boef committed himself to mastering the crypto ecosystem. His conviction in financial sovereignty led him to progressively detach from traditional banking structures and fully embrace crypto as both a technology and a philosophy.
